Corn Shuk Mei HO
Corn Shuk Mei Ho is a Hong Kong-born contemporary artist, currently based in London. She completed her Master of Fine Arts (Merit) at Wimbledon College of Arts, University of Arts London, in 2016, and previously obtained her BA (Hons) in Fine Arts and French Studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2010.
Her work primarily explores the human subconscious, often evoking a sense of melancholy and dislocation through atmospheric tones in her paintings and drawings. The themes in her work revolve around what is lost and found, creating an ambivalence between fleeting and synthesized memories, which she portrays through her unique visual language.
In recent years, Corn has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and Europe. Her most notable series, "Night Swims," delves into the depths of the human psyche, portraying characters in states of isolation, uncertainty, and fear, reflected in the dark waters of her compositions.
Her works are held in private collections and have been showcased in several notable exhibitions, highlighting her growing influence in the contemporary art scene.
